Network Audit Tools
Software Audit
Centennial Discovery enables you to automatically locate and account for all software throughout the organisation, dramatically reducing the management time required to assess and prove license compliance. Discovery is a sophisticated licensing audit tool that helps you with your software auditing process.
Discovery's network mapping capability audits your PC environment revealing powerful information that can assist your decision making process i.e. when to remove redundant assets, when to re-deploy applications; and even gives you the accurate information needed to renegotiate maintenance contracts and save costs.
Discovery also flags out the presence of unauthorized software or malware on individual machines, helping you to maintain network integrity, reducing the legal exposure of your business. Additionally, Centennial Discovery identifies where specific instances of an application require a security upgrade to combat vulnerabilities.
Centennial Discovery tracks software by:
- Vendor
- Software name
- Version / Patch
- Last used / Frequency of use
- Physical location (on a PC/Server or via a terminal server session)
- Licensable/unlicensable software
- Product type
Hardware Audit
Centennial Discovery automates the process of physically auditing hardware assets. Discovery seeks out and monitors all hardware on the network, providing you with an accurate view of machine type, serial number and configuration, as well as its geographical location.
In addition to PCs, Discovery tracks every IP device on the network including printers, routers, servers, and firewalls, regardless of their location. Centennial Discovery finds all devices connected to the corporate network, whether by LAN, WAN or even internet dial-up accounts.
By continually monitoring the network, Centennial Discovery alerts you to changes such as memory being removed from a PC, or a device being moved from one location to another. Discovery automatically recognizes a new device being added to the network and can identify if a particular PC has not returned an audit for a period of time.
Discovery audits hardware by:
- Machine name
- Manufacturer
- Serial number
- BIOS date
- Processor
- Memory
- Hard disk size / space
- Installed adapters
- Network information
